Toys of Hope’s dental program provides children with dental supplies such as toothpaste, toothbrushes and dental floss. The goal of our dental program is to teach children proper oral hygiene to help them preserve a beautiful, healthy smile for life.

Using a specially designed horse puppet, children are taught proper brushing and flossing techniques. The children range in age from three to ten years old. Each child gets a chance to practice what they have learned on the puppet with a giant toothbrush. This fun presentation not only reinforces good dental hygiene habits, but also leads the children to develop the ability to care for themselves.

We rely on local dentists and businesses to provide free dental supplies to distribute to the children. Each child takes home a bag with toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss for themselves and their parents.
